Vanilla runs the show
Look at what people actually search in our price comparator and one trend is impossible to miss: vanilla is everywhere. In recent days, four of the twenty most-searched fragrances are pure vanillas or creamy gourmands, and the list keeps growing. It is no accident: the gourmand wave that started a few years ago has matured, and vanilla — warm, edible, comforting — is its star ingredient.
The most searched, one by one
Tobacco Vanille (Tom Ford). The modern classic of sweet tobacco. Vanilla, pipe tobacco, spices and dried fruit: dense, enveloping and very expensive per millilitre — which is exactly why so many people compare its price before buying.
Bianco Latte (Giardini di Toscana). The viral phenomenon of 2025-2026: sweet milk, honey, caramel and white musk. One of the fastest-growing searches in our comparator this summer.
Vanilla Powder Extract (Matière Première). The "perfumer's vanilla": pure, powdery, unadorned. The French niche house that turned a single note into a bestseller.
Vanilla 28 (Kayali). Mona Kattan's layered vanilla: brown sugar, jasmine and amber. A whole generation's gateway into gourmands.
Libre Vanille Couture and Hypnotic Poison. The "designer" vanillas with character: Yves Saint Laurent's lavender-vanilla and Dior's dark almond-vanilla stay among the most-checked year after year.
What they have in common
- Performance: these are long-lasting scents with real trail; vanilla is a natural fixative.
- High price per ml: several are niche or private collections at €2-4 per millilitre.
- An "edible" profile that works all year round, not just in winter.
How to pay less for the same profile
Before buying any of these vanillas, two things are worth doing in the comparator: first, compare the original's price across stores — differences between sellers sometimes exceed 30% — and second, check which alternatives with a similar scent profile (as declared by their own sellers) exist for a fraction of the price. Every result shows the price's capture date and the price per 100 ml so you can compare on equal terms. Prices are indicative: always verify the final price at the store.
